Significant Work, a pre-career retrospective of work by Los Angeles artist David De Boer, completed on January 31, 2014 a 45 day run at Jacksonville's Florida Mining Gallery, a leading southeastern contemporary gallery under the direction of artist Steve Williams.
The show featured De Boer's conceptual, performative, and painting-based works, and video and print works in collaboration with Los Angeleno photographer Aaron Giesel.
The exhibit was curated by Staci Bu Shea and Jefree Shalev, Kurt Polkey, and Mark Creegan of nullspace. The exhibit included artwork on loan from the Michael Cavendish collection of 21st century contemporary American art.
